Lake Shore has provided electrical control systems, with services up to 27,000 volts, for
Hospitals, Commercial Facilities, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Nursing Homes, Police
Stations, Airports, Industrial Buildings, Co-Generation Plants, and Utility Companies. We
have designed and built specialty power control systems for virtually all branches of the
United States Government. Examples include automatic transfer switches to meet special engineering requirements and military standards of the Air Force; main ship’s service and emergency ship’s switchboards for the Navy; special engine generator controls for the Army; ship’s service switchgear for the Coast Guard; and missile base emergency power control and automatic power transfer for the Air Force
Automatic Transfer Switch

The Lake Shore Electric Corporation Single Motor Automatic Transfer Switch provides dependable, positive transfer to an emergency power source in the event of normal power source failure. The switch returns the system to the normal power source in an orderly fashion when normal power is restored. In the event that the emergency source fails, the switch will automatically return to the normal source when it becomes available, bypassing all time delays.
U.L. 1008 Listed (File No. E32008) and CSA approved as suitable for use in emergency systems, these transfer
switches are rated for application 100 to 600 amperes, 600 volts AC or 150 volts DC.
Withstand Ratings
Withstand ratings are very important for Automatic Transfer Switches. These transfer switches are available with standard, high or very high withstand ratings. Withstand ratings are at the terminals of the transfer switch without regard to or dependence on specific upstream protection. Please see the reverse side of this bulletin to select the switch which best suits your application.
Lake Shore Electric Corporation has been manufacturing Switchgear
for over fifty years. While it is virtually impossible to keep
track of the thousands of transfer switches installed over the years,
attached you can view some more recent switchgear installations.
While no two jobs are ever the same, one can see that Lake Shore
Electric Corporation has accommodated most types of generator
control switchgear applications. From simple single engine solutions
to more complex switchgear for emergency, standby and
prime power applications incorporating multiple engine generators
and various options such as import/export control, cogeneration,
base loading, peak shaving, and or soft loading and unloading.
Whether the Switchgear is built for Caterpillar, Kohler, Cummins,
Detroit Diesel Allison, Katolight, Generac, Or Mitsubishi, Lake
Shore Electric Corporation has decades of successful installs...
